Instruction #2. Traffic in Telegram: How to Track Messages from Leads

Arbitrage and schematic traffic: how to collect analytics on leads in a Telegram channel and track their messages?

Traffic Arbitrage in Telegram: How to Track Lead Actions

In the previous guide, I explained how to set up XTracker to track subscriber actions in a Telegram channel (where you drive traffic from Facebook ads) and gather statistics: which ad campaign brought the lead to the Telegram channel, whether they clicked on the advertiser's link, and whether they made a deposit. If you haven’t read Instruction #1 yet, I recommend starting there.

In this guide, I will explain how to set up XTracker to track messages from leads who joined the Telegram channel through our Facebook ad campaign. Message information will also be automatically sent back to Facebook, allowing you to adjust your advertising campaigns effectively.

Traffic in Telegram: Track Messages and Collect Web Analytics

In the past, arbitrage specialists had to rely on custom scripts for web analytics, and no one tracked messages from clients. However, these scripts were often unreliable, causing conversion rates to drop. Today, XTracker is the only traffic arbitrage tool capable of simultaneously collecting and analyzing all information about a lead's journey, tracking their messages, and sending the relevant data back to Facebook to adjust advertising campaigns effectively.

XTracker incorporates the best practices for building high-load systems, enabling the tracking of every lead. The team behind this project includes Senior developers and Team Leads from renowned IT companies, and they are always available to assist with improving your advertising campaigns or optimizing your web analytics.

To activate the message tracking feature for messages from leads, we need to connect our Telegram account to XTracker (remember, in the previous guide, I explained how to integrate your channel with the tracker).

Let’s get started.

Guide: How to Track Messages from Leads

Integration of the Tracker with Your Telegram Account

  1. Go to XTracker. Remember, we are already registered, and our Telegram channel—where we drive traffic—is connected to the tracker. We are already tracking lead actions (see Instruction #1). To log in, click Sign In.

  1. Go to the Integrations tab and navigate to the External section, which supports various external integrations. Select Telegram Account.

  1. In the Telegram Account section, we need to enter the API ID and API HASH.
  2. To obtain the API ID and API HASH, go to my.telegram.org. Let’s proceed:
  • Enter the phone number associated with your Telegram account, input the code received from Telegram, and click Sign In.

  • Select API Development Tools.

  • Fill in the required fields: App Title and Short Name: Enter the desired names. —> URL: Insert the link https://xtracker.cc. —> Select platform Other. —> Description: Write «For watching new dialogs» (without quotes). —> Click Create Application.

  • We have obtained the API ID and API HASH — these details need to be entered into the corresponding fields in the tracker.
  1. Enter the API ID and API HASH, then input the phone number of the account used to track statistics (the account linked to the channel where traffic is directed) and click Send Request Code. A code will be sent to Telegram.

  1. Enter the code received in Telegram into the Request Code field and click Create.

The Telegram account has been added! Now, when people send messages, it will be reflected in the tracker. Additionally, if leads came through a creative, the information will be forwarded to Facebook.

Where to Track Messages from Leads in Telegram

Message information and statistics can be viewed in the CRM section under the Leads tab. Here, you can see details such as who sent a message, the time it was sent, and more.

In the More section, you can access more detailed statistics about links. If leads who clicked on a link send a message, the link name will be displayed. If someone writes without clicking a link, the lead will be marked as Undefined Subscribes.

Conclusion

Now, you not only know how to set up XTracker to track subscriber actions in your Telegram channel and collect statistics on those actions, but you can also receive messages from clients and access statistics on those messages.

All of this will help you improve the effectiveness of your Facebook advertising campaign.

In the upcoming articles, we will explore how to integrate Chat2Desk into XTracker and manage tags. You will learn how to manage operators in both Chat2Desk and XTracker. Additionally, we will cover how to connect affiliate programs to the tracker and account for budget spending within XTracker.

I will also explain what comprehensive reports in XTracker include and provide a detailed overview of a specific type of report that allows you to monitor the performance of ad campaigns in real-time.

I will introduce you to a powerful metric called Just-In (which will be incredibly useful).

Furthermore, we’ll delve into integrating third-party solutions and scripts into the tracker, such as notifications for deposits or registrations in the Telegram channel.
